| Fifth grade students have numerous opprtunities
to serve others in our classroom, school, and community. Students vote to elect two members of the class to serve on Student Council. Students were required to write and present a speech in order to run for this position. Students were selected by thier peers in a secret ballot vote early in the school year. In addition, Students Council members wear uniform dress, follow school and class procedures, and maintain good grades. Each week, a different member of our classroom community is selected, based on using the lifeskills and lifelong guidelines, to be the "Citizen of the Week." This student will write a reflection of the week in the weekly class newsletter. |
